Jari-Matti Latvala ha fatto segnare il tempo di shakedown più veloce della Rally du Portugal ce matin lors de son troisième passage. Le pilote Ford devance Petter Solberg et sa Xsara WRC et Mikko Hirvonen sur la seconde Focus RS WRC officielle. Sébastien Loeb è ottavo.
