Sans grande surprise, Sébastien Loeb (Citroën C4 WRC) termine la première journée du Rally du Var en tête, avec une trentaine de secondes d?avance sur Brice Tirabassi (Subaru Impreza S14 WRC), son dauphin dans chacune des trois spéciales de l?après-midi. Patrick Henry (Peugeot 307 WRC) est à plus d?une minute. Suivent Pieter Tsjoen (Ford Focus RS WRC), Cédric Robert (Abarth Grande Punto S2000), Stéphane Sarrazin (Peugeot 207 S2000) et Guillaume Canivenq (Peugeot 207 S2000). Cinq spéciales sont prévues samedi, trois dimanche.
